While visiting McDermotts Pub, in Doolin, I had a delicious meal. I believe they called it bacon and cabbage with potatoes. There was a delicious white sauce covering the (mashed) potatoes and cabbage. A beautiful ham steak was included. Do you know what the white sauce was and do you have a recipe? Thank you for your recipe for cooking cabbage!

Hi Patti – I think the white sauce was parsley sauce. It is used on bacon, ham and fried fish in Ireland. I am planning to cook cod and parsley sauce for my blog this week so I’ll share my parsley sauce recipe this weekend. Thanks for checking out my recipes and ramblings.
