For some time now I have enjoyed your Blog – and shared it with other friends who either
left home years ago or as recently as one year ago – it is a terrific read and keeps Ireland
alive in my heart and the heart of so many of us – no matter how long we are away from
Ireland Ireland never leaves our heart or mind – She is a keeper. Now my grandchildren
talk about Ireland as if they were born there too – and yet, they have never been to Ireland.
Thank you, Mairead, for the best read on the Internet.

Dear Martha – Thanks so much for your kind words about my blog. It is lovely to hear from readers who enjoy my ramblings. I started this little project to try to record some of my Irish memories and recipes for my children. My readership continues to grow beyond my wildest expectations. It is so nice to know that others of Irish descent are now reading my tales. If I can keep Ireland alive in your hearts then this is so worthwhile. I will remember your words when I am tired and don’t feel like writing. You will be my inspiration to push through my writer’s block and keep on sharing a little bit of Ireland and my American journey with the world.
All the best, and stop by whenever you have a moment to spare.
