Splatter Paint Shamrock Art Activity
Learn how to use splatter paint techniques and a cut out paper shamrock template to create an Irish themed art piece for Saint Patrick's Day.
Equipment
- paints variety of colors
- paintbrushes
- Marker pens.
Materials
- 1 sheet cardstock paper any color for shamrock template
- 1 sheet cardstock paper to paint upon
Instructions
- Cut out the shamrock shape using the PDF template provided.
- Cut out a square piece of craft paper. Then place the shamrock in the middle of it. Secure it with sticky tack or mounting tack if you are afraid it will move during the painting process.
- Take your paint, and a pencil with an eraser at the end.
- Apply paint on the pencil’s eraser. Then apply dots of paint around the shamrock. You can use paintbrushes or sponges or a toothbrush to apply the paint as well.
- When the first layer of paint is dried properly, apply another color. Then, add one more color. You can use as many colors as you wish.
- Gently remove the shamrock template. After the paints are dried, take a colorful sharpie or marker pen, then outline the shamrock.
