Instructions
Gather all the supplies. First lay out 12 corks on your work surface to make one shamrock leaf. Place one cork at the bottom, then two corks above, then three corks and four cork in layers. Finish with two corks in the top layer.
Glue the corks together in the assigned rows using a glue gun with melting glue sticks (strong superglue will also work). Create a pyramid shape. Attach the final two corks in between the first and second corks on the right and left sides to create a heart shape .If using liquid craft glue, hold the corks together with a rubber band during the drying process.
Using the remaining 24 corks, create two additional cork hearts following the steps above.
Form the shamrock by attaching the three cork hearts together at the base of each heart using the glue gun with melting glue sticks. Glue the last 5 corks in a curved row from the base of the shamrock to form the stem. Allow to dry completely.
Paint some of the ends of the corks with dark green acrylic craft paint using a paintbrush. Next paint some in medium green and finally paint the remaining ones in light green.
To finish, tie ribbon into a bow, and then attach to the center of the cork shamrock with a glue gun and glue sticks.
When fully dry and secure, display your shamrock by standing it on one side.
