1sheetwhite or cream cardstock paperfor the inner frame that holds the pop-up feature
1sheetplain white paperto cut out shamrock pattern
Instructions
Print the templates provided and choose the shamrock size you wish to use for your card. Then, select a green-shaded craft paper that is long and wide enough to cut out at least three shamrocks.
Next, make one vertical fold on any end of the paper. The fold has to be wide enough to draw half of the shamrock pattern you chose from the template.
Fold the paper into 6 equal accordion folds.
Place the shamrock template over the paper so that one half of the shamrock covers one section of the folded green paper. The center of the shamrock should be placed over the folded side of the green paper strip.
Draw the shamrock shape on the green paper, by tracing your pencil around the shamrock template.
Cut along the leaf outline of the shamrock, but leave the red area as shown in the second page of the template uncut. This is a small area at the outer edge of the lower shamrock leaf. This will form the paper bridges between your shamrocks.
Open the fold to reveal your shamrocks.
Select your background paper for the card. Apply glue on the outer half of the first shamrock.
Glue it onto one side of the card. And, then apply glue to the outer half of the final shamrock.
Carefully close the card, then gently open up the card to free up the inner shamrocks and check they lift upwards when opened.
Now, select a front cover for your card.
Glue the outer side of the card with the shamrocks to the covering card piece.
Open the card, add some more decorations with marker pens or stickers. Feel free to decorate the outer side of your card too.
