Instructions
Gather all your supplies. Fold the bottom edge of the paper plate up about one inch and press firmly to crease it. Then, use scissors to cut along the fold, creating the base shape of the pot.
Paint the outside of the paper plate with black acrylic craft paint. Allow it to dry completely, then add a second coat if needed for full coverage.
Download and print the pot of gold templates, then cut them out. Trace the pot legs twice and the rim once onto black cardstock, the large shamrock onto medium green cardstock, the small shamrock onto bright green cardstock, the coins six times onto both light and dark yellow cardstock, and the gold pile onto medium yellow cardstock using a pencil.
Cut out all the traced shapes with scissors, staying just inside the lines for a neat and polished finish.
Attach the legs and rim to the pot using a glue gun and glue sticks. Tip: You can use liquid craft glue instead, but allow extra time for it to dry.
Glue the pile of gold to the top back of the paper plate pot. Then, randomly attach the light and dark yellow coins on top using a glue gun and glue sticks.
Use a glue gun and glue sticks to attach a mix of yellow pom poms to the pot of gold.
Glue the bright green shamrock onto the medium green shamrock, then attach it to the pot of gold using a glue gun and glue sticks.
Tie a small bow with natural jute twine, attach it to a green button, then glue the button to the center of the shamrock.
