Some good news to share with you all today. Irish American Mom has been shortlisted for the Blog Awards Ireland 2015, in the best blog of the Irish diaspora category.
I'm thrilled with this news. My blog was first nominated for these awards by an anonymous reader of my recipes and ramblings.
Whoever you you may be, thank you so much for adding my blog into the mix for this year's awards. I appreciate all of your support.
Now I have a little favor to ask. The finalists will be chosen from all of the shortlisted blogs, and 30% of the final score will be based upon public voting.
If you have a spare moment, please go to the voting page here, and choose Irish American Mom. Click submit and that's all there is to it.
Public voting closes on September 21st, 2015.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your votes, your support, and your wonderful comments.
Update October 4th, 2015
A big thank you to everyone for all your votes and words of encouragement. I really appreciate it.
Unfortunately Irish American Mom was not chosen as a finalist this year. Congratulations to all those who made it to the final round of the Blog Awards Ireland 2015. Best of luck to everyone.

Hi Patty - thanks so much for letting me know about your brother's blog. He must have so many stories to tell after growing up in a family of 13. My Dad was one of thirteen, and he tells many tales of happy childhood days with his brothers and sisters on the hills of north Cork.
Thanks for your support and for following my ramblings,
All the best,

So you've been shortlisted, have you, Mairead? Congratulations! You know, I've made a number of lists myself in my day. Unfortunately, I was always at the wrong end of each. Yours is one election in which I'm most delighted to participate. I sent my vote your way, IAM, and huzzah, hooray, excelsior, three cheers, bravo, and hats off to the Irish American Mom and her wonderful blog.
