I have bought so many Irish themed gifts over the years and have a cabinet full of crystal I inherited when my mother passed. She was from
County Mayo and never had expensive jewelry or anything, but she loved her Waterford and Galway Crystal. I've bought Beleek gifts for family members, but never splurged on it for myself. Winning these mugs would help me decide whether to book my trip in 2024 so I can go and buy out the store!!

Dearest Mairead ~ I LOVE when you do these giveaways! ❤️ You're so sweet. I bought the Belleek Claddagh mug set and sent one to my Cousin so that we could drink tea "together" even though we live in different states. If I won the Himself/Herself set, I would send them to my brother and sister-in-law. I hope I win! 🍀

My Dad was born in Ireland and I was born in the U.S and applied for Irish citizenship and it was granted, so now I am a dual national as the Passport people say.
I do love Belleek china and, of course, my dad (God rest his soul) was always "Himself" in the family. Please enter me to win a mug. Slán go fóill

First, thank you for the recipes, the heritage and especially the ramblings. A while back you spoke of Irish Americans forgetting our Irish past. My grandparents were from Ireland and settled in New York City sometime after the US Civil War. Discrimination against the Irish were everywhere, at least in the cities, which was where most landed. The first thing my parents were taught: loose the accent, speak American-english only, you're American now - learn American things to fit in. William, James, Richard, George and Charles (popular english kings) were the first names of many Irish boys. So we did fit in, raised our families, made sure our children were educated, became successful but lost parts of our heritage. To many, your site is a beacon of all things Irish, filling in some of those missing pieces. Thank you.
Colette
My husband and I visited Ireland in early October this year. It was a perfect week and we loved every minute of it. I already made your soda bread to remember the bread we enjoyed every morning. I visit your blog often now. Thank you so much.

Hello from Phoenix, AZ!
I have an extensive collection of Belleek that I began over 40 years ago, including 2 pieces that date to the 2nd black mark, one that dates to the 3rd black mark, and many others with the 4th green mark. I really enjoy collecting all pieces, regardless of their marks just for the enjoyment and use in display or for entertaining. I have enjoyed your newsletters, blogs and recipes for a number of years now, and hope you will continue!
