Ireland boasts some of the best green pastures on the planet and goat farms are found all over the island.
Not only Irish cows produce some of the best milk in the world, but Irish goats are also renowned for the quality of their milk. Irish goat cheese is internationally recognized.
You can learn all about the different types of Irish Farmhouse cheeses from the Irish Food Board known as Bord Bia (pronounced bored bee-ah).
Goat cheese frequently features on Irish restaurant menus and is used extensively for creating delicious appetizers.
If you ever visit Ireland do give Irish goat cheese a try. I especially love the St. Tola brand of goat cheese. It's creamy, luscious, ever so tasty and a perfect appetizer ingredient.
Made in County Clare, it truly is a taste of Ireland.
