Grab your pencils and crayons for these shamrock themed preschool worksheets especially for Saint Patrick's Day.
Preschoolers and toddlers can trace and color as part of their St. Patrick's Day celebrations. Decorating these cute worksheets for this Irish holiday is a great way to practice fine motor skills.

Coloring Activities for Children
Coloring activities help children develop and strengthen the writing muscles in their hands (don't worry, I won's put my physical therapy hat on, and start naming the muscles of the hand).
In this post you'll find a free printable PDF with a variety of learning activities.
Trace The Numbers
You'll find a trace the number activity, with green shamrocks decorating the page.
A nice green crayon or marker looks good on this sheet, but I'm Irish so I'm biased when it comes to choosing a color for filling in an Irish themed worksheet.
Color The Flag Activity Sheet
Up next is a color the flag activity.
It's green, white and orange. Remember the green stripe is next to the flag pole, and the orange stripe is furthest away from the flagpole to the right.
Did you know that if you put the orange stripe to the left, the Irish flag is transformed into the flag for the Ivory Coast?
How Many?
Our next worksheet is for little ones learning how to count.
Here's a few collections of Irish themed objects, plus one cute little leprechaun.
Shamrocks adorn all the pages in this Irish themed activity sheet collection.
Irish Tangram
Tangrams were invented in China nearly 200 years ago, but why not give one an Irish twist.
Here's a green, white, and orange tangram, especially for Saint Patrick's Day.
Tangrams are excellent for teaching children about spatial relationships, just like building blocks.
A tangram is a two-dimensional puzzle consisting of a square cut into seven pieces. It's a re-arrangement puzzle with seven separate geometric shapes, that can be pieced together to recreate a square. Each geometric shape is called a "tan."
And so, this last work sheet in this educational resource packet is an Irish tangram with seven green, white, or orange geometric shapes.
