I've got Georgia on my mind ever since I first visited this beautiful state of trees and red clay.
A quick trip to the state of Georgia for a weekend vacation is highlighted
in these lovely images of this southern state.
I see America from an Irish eye. It's vast and expansive compared to Ireland. America the beautiful in every corner of the nation.
In today's post we skip down the tracks for a short photo tour of Georgia from my mind's eye.
What Georgia Means To Me
In today's post we skip down the tracks for a short photo tour of Georgia from my mind's eye.
Georgia means breathtaking vistas framed by mountain pines.
Historic old towns in the shadow of tall water towers.
Quaint stores inviting passers-by to stop in for a chat.
Inspiring murals reflect the importance of the railroad.
Historical rail cars whisper of days gone by.
Shady benches to escape the midday sun!
Beautiful blossoms color the towns and countryside.
Stately columned homes from days gone by.
Porches with rocking chairs!
Country churches tell a tale of fervent faith.
Red, red clay nurtures Georgia's blossoms.
A magnificent aquarium found in Atlanta.
And oh, those Georgia pines.

The other thing that could have been better about these photos would have been if I could have been there in the background! I love Stone Mountain and the little town of Pine Mountain, which is near to Callaway Gardens...if you didn't get to go there, please do so next time. You take such great photos!!!
Love,
