Irish blessings can be found to suit every occasion throughout the year, but at Christmas time they hold extra special meaning.

Walls for the Wind Blessing
Here is one of my favorites...
This Christmas may you have…
“Walls for the wind
And a roof for the rain,
And drinks bedside the fire,
Laughter to cheer you,
And those you love near you,
And all that your heart may desire.”
Every time I read this little blessing I think of it as a prayer for homeless people. I pray they too will have walls for the wind this Christmas and throughout the year.
