Making Memories Through Stories and Meeting New People
Walter's guests hear lots of stories on their travels and most importantly, they meet the local people along the way. They experience the warm Irish welcome for which the people of Ireland are world famous.
With Walter's Way Tours you'll make memories of a lifetime. Here's a little introduction, narrated by Walter.
Why Choose Walter As Your Tour Guide
Walter understands that driving in Ireland is difficult, especially if you're accustomed to traveling on the right hand side of the road. He also recognizes that large coach tours are not the answer.
Strict and rigid itineraries, going from tourist hot spot to tourist hot spot, can be very tiring. Walter therfore does not recommend large coach tours.
Instead his passengers travel in small luxury coaches, that have no trouble negotiating Ireland's small country roads and boreens. He knows where the real Ireland lies - at the end of the boreen.
He takes his guests to out of the way, hidden gems, and off the well beaten tourist track.
Walter chooses accommodation within easy walking distance of villages and town centers.
His guests can explore the shops, restaurants and pubs independently.
A Knowledgeable Tour Guide
There's history all around on the island of Ireland. Megalithic monuments, monastic ruins and medieval castles dot the landscape.
Some of these national treasures are simply sitting in fields, where you can walk right up to them, inspect them and reach out and touch them. The sights and sounds of the landscape will help you imagine what life was like in Ireland thousands of years ago.
Ireland's scenery is spectacular. Melting glaciers from the last Ice AgeThe carved the landscape, about ten thousand years ago.
The hills and the valleys, the rivers and glens, the lakes and the woodlands, the coast and the islands, all have a story to tell.
Walter shares the story of Ireland and our ancestors with a keen knowledge of the past.
Here's a little exerpt about his qualifications and experience, taken from his website, Walter's Way Tours....

The greatest testimonial of all comes from one of the members of our little community, Deborah.
She traveled to Ireland last year and completed a tour of County Kerry with Walter. I think she fell in love with Killarney.
She had such an amazing experience that she plans to return again this year.
