I hope i win!! We had a fabulous visit to Ireland a couple of years ago and can't wait to come back! One of our fondest memories was visiting a beautiful cathedral and we got to hear the boy's choir practicing. Tears were rolling down my face! They sounded like angels.

My sisters and three of our children spent 10 days in Ireland in 2009.Our second day we drove from Dublin to Ballyduffy, Moyne, County Longford and met some relatives and walked my grandmothers childhood land. We brought home stones from that land to put in our mother's and our gardens. It was the most fabulous day during a trip of a lifetime. I have never met more warm and friendly people in all of my travels and I have been fortunate to travel quite a bit. I am now a dual citizen through descent of a grandparent and my dream is to retire in Ireland.

As a child growing up in Nebraska with grandparents on both sides of my family emigrating from Ireland, my dream was to go to Ireland. As life went on with marriage, 5 children, and a very filled up life, trips to Ireland were not in the family budget. At the age of 74 I got to Ireland! I went with my two daughters, and three grandchildren. It was just what I envisioned! I have been there twice now. My son and his wife took me for my 76th birthday. It was a wonderful and magical time. I am truly blessed.

I have been lucky enough to go to Ireland a few times. My favorite was in Galway when we went to the Cathedral. I went into the book shop to get a bottle for Holy Water. The woman working there said she was about to close because there was to be a wedding soon and they stay open during weddings. She said we could sit on the side and watch if we wanted. We did and got to see a most beautiful wedding with beautiful green shawls on the bridesmaids. We were very quiet and didn't disturb anyone. What a treat the singers were. The four ladies sounded like angels themselves. It was a nice surprise.
Mary Sullivan
that should be they CAN"T stay open during weddings-sorry
Alicia
Thank you for a chance in the wonderfully unique giveaway!
Sadly, my last trip to Ireland was Valentine's Day weekend in 1998. Our visit was short yet spectacular! Our day trip to the Cliffs of Moher was incredible. We enjoyed bright blue, clear, crisp skies. It was blustery, but the scenery made up for the chilliness.
Merry Christmas!

Thinking ahead to the summer my family and I are taking a trip to Ireland. I've been there before with my mother and father when I was younger. We visited family as well as sites. But what I'm excited about is that my two children especially my daughter, would not want to go on their first trip to Ireland without their dad. She even said her first trip would have to be with him. My husband never has seen the country side either. Which makes me smile to know that I get to explore all over again, Ireland with some beaming faces that is my family. It may be our last family trip together before my daughter starts having a family of her own. And I know we will be treasuring each moment.
Angela
I would love to win this!
We try to go over every year. We love Ireland so much we are looking for jobs over there.

Our favorite places are, of course Dublin and Galway, but also the midlands. Lord willing, we
Will find someplace soon!

Sadly, I've never been to Ireland. Now that I've recently retired my husband and I are planning a trip. I love Ireland! I've been there several times, but never at Christmas time. That is a dream of mine. I would love to see the small villages lit up and made festive. I have applied for Irish Citizenship by Decent and the plan is to be living in Ireland next Christmas. Wish me luck!
